Directions on How to Navigate the JA Inspire Career Expo
These are the main areas that make up the virtual career event:
- Lobby: This is where you enter the career fair and access all its resources. The major sponsors are represented here.
- Information Desk: Need help? Learn how to navigate the event and find listings of exhibitor booths and webinars.
- Exhibit Halls: You will find exhibit halls featuring different career clusters, to help you focus on your field(s) of interest! Within each exhibit hall, you can visit different booths and find documents, videos, links, and all sorts of helpful resources. If you find something helpful, add it to your virtual backpack for future reference. You can use the Exhibitors index or search bar to find a specific booth, or move left and right to scroll through exhibit halls.
- Auditorium: Attend speeches and webinars. Select the screen to see your choices. You will need your Learn From the Experts worksheet to complete the What I Learned column.
- To participate in the Q&A, visit your booth(s) of choice and select the Q&A button. Type your question into the box and send. Your question will be published after it is read and answered by a volunteer on the live date.
Remember:
- As you find interesting information or helpful resources, add them to your backpack. Later you can email them to yourself (or someone else).
- Take advantage of the live date (Wednesday, March 26th) to ask volunteers all your career and work-related questions!
- If you will not be able to attend the live date, you can submit your questions in advance.
